Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: Tir y berth DepotThis is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Waste Operations Team.We pay an attractive salary of £25,584 – £27,269 and offer access to training and development opportunities.The purpose of the role is to provide an effective, efficient and quality service to Caerphilly citizens for the collection of refuse, recycling, green waste and food waste. You will work as part of a team to ensure that Caerphilly can meet its’ waste and recycling targets.The successful candidate will actively contribute to the team to not only deliver but also promote the service. The role also includes responsibility for the presentation and upkeep of a vehicle and the basic administration duties such as the completion of data sheets as required. Additionally, the Loader will provide information and guidance to customers on appropriate waste disposal promoting and supporting the principles of waste minimisation and recycling.For the role, we ask that you have:

• The ability to undertake the full range of duties provided by Waste Strategy and Operations in an efficient and effective manner.
• Knowledge of the County Borough and the services provided by the Waste Strategy and Operations Section.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers and provide a caring effective service.
• Ability to be trained to Manual Handling Passport Standard.
