Responsible for day-to-day risk management of various business lines including brokerage, margin financing, futures, stock options, structured financing etc.;
Perform daily market monitoring and analyze market trends to provide actionable insights for business lines; Analyze market news and incidents, conduct assessment of clients, collaterals and counterparties, offering professional risk and strategic recommendations based on findings.
Monitor and maintain margin levels, ensuring compliance with internal policies; Conduct daily margin calls and enforce sell orders as necessary to manage risk and protect client interests.
Compose daily/monthly/ad hoc internal risk management reports;
Develop and maintain credit risk policies and ensure the operation procedures has fulfilled the policy and compliance requirements;
Work closely with front office, head office and other stakeholders in risk management of the business;
Perform ad hoc assignments as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or related discipline;
5 years+ experience in financial services industry with exposures to margin financing and futures risk management;
Sound knowledge of the SFC Guidelines, Securities and Futures Ordinance and relevant regulations;
Professional qualifications will be an advantage (CFA, FRM, CPA, etc.);
Proficient in MS Office, Oracle Hyperion and practical skill in programming (e.g. VBA, Python);
Good communication skills, fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English, proficient in Chinese writing.
