Job description: JOB OVERVIEWAre you a detail-oriented, experienced medical virtual assistant with a Medical Billing experience who is passionate about accuracy, patient service, and working in a supportive and growing healthcare team? We’re looking for a skilled VA to join our virtual team and help us streamline and manage our billing processes with excellence.Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process and submit insurance claims (electronic and paper)
Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness
Verify insurance eligibility and coverage
Follow up on unpaid claims and denials
Post payments and reconcile accounts
Communicate with insurance companies, providers, and patients as needed
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other billing regulations
Other admin tasks as neededQualifications:
Proven experience in medical billing (1+ years preferred)
Familiarity with EHR systems
Strong understanding of insurance claims, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and denial management
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
HIPAA certification is a plusTechnical Requirements:
Reliable high-speed internet connection
