As a Strategy Consultant, you will be responsible for various tasks and responsibilities aimed at supporting strategic growth, transformation, and business development initiatives.At the head office in Esbjerg, you will report to the VP of Products, Marketing & Strategy and become part of the strategic consulting team, which consists of four colleagues.The department drives value creation by providing strategic insights, solving complex challenges, and acting as a sparring partner in forming actionable strategies. Furthermore, the team acts as change agents, ensuring consistent, anchored strategies/processes and delivering clear, actionable reporting to support innovation and competitive advantage.In this role, we expect you to lead and drive strategic projects, take ownership of processes, and work closely with the global organization to understand their needs, develop tailored solutions, and implement strategies that enhance performance and drive growth.Our way of working is fast-paced and collaborative, utilizing the latest digital tools and best practices. The work culture is flexible and informal – there is good energy and a strong team spirit.In cooperation with VIKING’s Group Management team and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategy Development: Drive and support strategy development at various levels within VIKING
  • Strategic Planning: Support the development of the strategic agenda for selected Transition Drivers and Functional/Supporting Strategies as part of the Group’s long-term business plan
  • Strategy Implementation: Assist with strategy implementation, including selected Transition Drivers, Functional/Supporting Strategies, and larger transformation initiatives. Support the Project Management Office (PMO) with consistent use of tools, processes, and reporting across priority initiatives
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Collaborate with subject matter experts to generate ideas, solve problems, and structure information. Facilitate interviews and workshops, analyze data, and support senior management decision-making
  • Cooperate in Strategy Process: Be part of the team working with Strategy, including Corporate Communication and third-party vendors (where relevant)
  • Project Work: Participate in and drive various projects primarily within Strategy and Commercial, as well as cross-organizationally, to ensure successful execution of projects and general business improvements
  • Communication and Reports: Prepare reports and communicate the implications of insights and analyses to management and key stakeholders across the group – as part of the new PMO and Strategy Execution Model

Annually, up to 10-20 global travel days must be expected.Your Profile
The ideal candidate has a strong background in business strategy, operations, and change management. You have experience in a similar position within an international company and have demonstrated proven results in identifying and implementing improvements.Your educational background matches the level required for the position and could be a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Strategy, or a related field.You have a solid business understanding of the full value chain and are capable of driving the identification, planning, and implementation of large, complex global projects. Furthermore, you have excellent communication and presentation abilities.Your working style is relationship-building, structured, and professional – with a “can do” attitude.Other qualifications include:

  • A strategic and commercial mindset
  • Financial understanding
  • Fluency in English and Danish

Your personality is also important. We expect you to be a team player, open-minded, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving results. You have the ability to think strategically and execute tactically, and you are capable of delivering a message at a strategic level while conveying complex issues in a simple manner.If you have experience within the maritime or offshore safety industry or similar, it’s an advantage but not a requirement.VIKING offers
