Job description: We are looking for a Vice Head of Division – Upper School for an international school in Wuhan. This is a full-time position starting in August 2025.About the schoolLocated in Wuhan, central Chinas vibrant metropolis, this school offers a comprehensive education from early childhood through Grade 12, emphasizing critical thinking, time management, and lifelong learning. • Support the Head of Division in all aspects of leadership and management of the Upper School, contributing to the vision and strategic direction of the school.
• Assist in the implementation of curriculum development initiatives and monitor academic performance across the division.
• Provide guidance and support to teaching staff, fostering professional development and collaborative practices.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all students, ensuring high standards of behavior and discipline.
• Manage the pastoral care system for Upper School students, ensuring their well-being and development.
• Coordinate with other divisions to ensure educational continuity and the alignment of policies and practices.
• Participate in parent engagement and communication initiatives, enhancing community relations.
• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new faculty members.
• Contribute to the overall development and execution of the schools strategic plan.

Job requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
• Teaching certificate
• Strong understanding of international education systems, preferably AP
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage staff effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment

Salary and benefits

• Annual Salary of 70,000 USD commensurate with experience and qualifications
