Job description: Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Vendor Manager to join our client.Contract Period: 6 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: Starting from $40 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid; onsite 2 days per week
Business Hours: Monday to Friday; Core Business HoursJob Responsibilities:

• Maintain vendor records in accordance with Legal Department and bank’s requirements
• Understand practices and procedures relating to managing vendor arrangements through all stages of the vendor lifecycle, in alignment with relevant frameworks, policies and standards
• Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk activities as necessary
• Contribute to vendor related operational activities (e.g. report production, system queries, process mapping, specialized tracking, analysis and transactional procedural support) as assigned
• Focus on continuous improvements to facilitate entering vendor arrangements
• Participate in working sessions and/or facilitate meetings to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal partners and the vendor to ensure department requirements are met and objectives are aligned
• Support the onboarding of vendors and managing related documentation, including contracts
• Assists with reporting and compliance activities associated with various policies
• Works closely with team members to support bank’s legal’s external counsel management program
• Supports the execution of operational functions related to bank’s legal’s third-party risk management program
• Partners closely with members of the Legal team and other shared services functions
• Assists with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to maximize efficiencies
• Assists in creating appropriate training material, job aids and other forms of end user reference materials
• Contributes to strategic initiatives and projects

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

• 5 + years of Vendor management experience
• MS Office proficiency
• Ability to adapt to new tasks to support operational requirements of the legal department
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with vendor contracts
