Bring your curious mind and ambition to shape our industry and help us become the progressive, digitally enabled, leading insurer we aim to be.Job DescriptionWe have a permanent opportunity available at TAL as a Vendor and Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our Procurement, Property and Facilities team. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the full supplier lifecycle, managing third-party risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance within the procurement function.Acting as a trusted advisor, this role works closely with internal stakeholders and shared services like Legal, Risk, and Cyber to support supplier agreements and contract variations. This includes; implementing governance plans that enhance customer experience, manage costs, and reduce risks, while maintaining procurement processes that meet regulatory standards.In this role you will:

  • Supporting procurement policies and procedures that address TAL’s risk and regulatory framework
  • Support in the development and delivery of process training and instructional documentation to ensure understanding of compliance obligations across the business and taking the lead in updating these artefacts
  • Support with procurement reporting and contributing towards the continuous improvement
  • Identify and assess supplier risks, working with business stakeholders and shared services to mitigate those risks
  • Support implementation and management of Vendor Governance Framework across TAL
  • Effectively support the business to deal with vendor operational contract enquiries, issues, disputes, variations, risks and undertaking negotiations with vendors as required
  • Assist in developing and establishing procurement best practice for related projects and act as a custodian of the procurement process
  • Supporting ad-hoc request from business stakeholders and shared services (e.g., Risk, Legal) to support business decision making and undertake some projects

Qualifications

  • Strong working experience in operations to include vendor management, procurement, contract negotiations and risk
  • Proven ability to manage large enterprise supplier relationships, including onboarding, vendor management, contracting, sourcing, and risk management.
  • Skilled in negotiating and managing contracts with stakeholders, vendors, and suppliers to identify and reduce supplier risks
  • Excellent attention to detail, customer service, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial management and reporting skills
  • Proficient user in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Experience using PowerBI
