Your key responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation of equity and fixed income trades between internal systems and external parties (brokers and custodians).
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in trade data, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the trade lifecycle for equities and fixed income, from trade execution through settlement.
- Possess sound knowledge of Trade flow path from Trading to Accounting platform and it’s impact on NAV calculation.
- Monitor and escalate unresolved issues according to the escalation matrix, ensuring that any operational risks are communicated to senior management promptly.
- Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and middle-office teams to ensure trade discrepancies are resolved within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and regulatory requirements related to trade reconciliation processes.
- Liaise with counterparties and brokers to investigate and resolve trade breaks and mismatches.
- Provide detailed root cause analysis for recurring trade issues and implement corrective actions to minimize future discrepancies.
- Support the continuous improvement of reconciliation processes by identifying inefficiencies and proposing enhancements.
- Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports for management, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulatory changes, and market practices within equity and fixed income trading.
- Participate in regular meetings with internal teams and external partners to discuss trade reconciliation issues and performance against SLAs.
Your skills and experience
- Specify the minimum level and type of experience required for the position (e.g. specialized or cross-functional, cross-industry experience, local or international experience)
- Clear understanding of Trade lifecycle
- Well versed with SWIFT.
- Risk and Regulatory
- Payments, SWIFT Back-office operation, Operation Risk
Education | Certification (Recommended):
- Bachelor / Master Degree from an accredited college
Education/ Qualifications
- Minimum Graduation in any stream.
