Job description: Trade Marketing Manager – L’Oréal Consumer Products DivisionThis role focuses on two key areas of the business, Trade Marketing and Business Development, with the aim of developing the make-up category from an O & O perspective, executing best in class, market share winning plans in collaboration with our retailers, whilst customer centricity remains at the heart of everything we do. The role aims to accelerate collaboration internally & externally to ultimately challenge & strategise our business plans, whilst always representing our customer’s voice. A Trade Marketing Manager works across several functions; all adding to a varied portfolio of stakeholders to engage and influence. You will lead the Irish Market, making strategic decisions from a Trade Marketing and Business Development perspective to drive the make-up business and in turn business growth. You will collaborate extensively with various stakeholders, including agencies, customers, our Commercial team, and UK counterparts.A DAY IN THE LIFEBrand Management & Marketing:

  • Drive O & O animation of CPD’s Make-up brands in Ireland
  • Define the local brand strategy in line with the UK brand plans working with UK brand teams
  • Manage A&P budget, end to end POS production & execution
  • Manage all launches (classification, animation & activations, communication to NAMs, tracking)
  • Manage POS vendors to design and deliver POS & manage POS critical path
  • Manage media plan in collaboration with UK brand teams
  • Ensure promo plans & launch timings are aligned to media plan
  • PR liaison – to Advocacy teams
  • Re-merch
  • Perm merch & display
  • Attends retailer Meetings

Business Development locally:

  • Develop category O&O strategies for Irish market in collaboration with UK & develop full understanding of category performance
  • Implement GTM strategy for CPD in Ireland
  • Euro pricing strategy & RGM initiatives and full Valo process for € pricing
  • Collaboration with BDT and Category teams for O&O key priorities for elevation in retailers.
  • Governs promotional plans by account
  • Validates customer forecasts monthly by brand including NPD (BFGs)
  • Defines optimal product range by channel O&O, tracks distribution & e-merch KPI’s
  • Conducts customer annual Trade Day presentations
  • Ensures annual budget planning process is localised & executed as per deadlines (NAMs handbook & category guidelines)
  • Reports monthly on account EPOS & market share evolution

  • Ability to engage and positively influence internal & external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage upwards.
  • Experience interacting with FMCG customers is an advantage.

  • Review and improve processes and share best practice with the wider team.

Excellent Communication Skills

  • Be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels and simplify complex messages.
  • Be able to co-ordinate planning topics with your Mancom and brand team.

Strong numeracy and organizational skills

  • Strong numeracy skills to aid sales and category analysis.
  • Highly organized, and capable of prioritizing and managing deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

Creative

  • Be able to adapt global campaigns and POS for Irish retailers
  • Be able to deliver marketing leading in-store POS and category elevation representing our portfolio brands and campaigns locally
