  • Reporting to the Tourism Events Manager the post holder will assist in the operational delivery of Council’s objectives and support the local economy through the development, marketing and delivery of a range of events throughout the Borough.
  • Seek opportunities for innovative events that have a strong appeal, producing benefits for the local economy, reflecting the landscape and character of the area, and create a vibrant and entertaining experience for the citizens and visitors to the area.
  • Promote the area to inbound event organisers as a place that can host major events, ensuring impact and legacy are delivered on an ongoing basis.
  • The post holder will support the Tourism Events Manager and the Tourism Events Coordinator in the development of an events portfolio that creates a balanced mixture of successful existing and new innovative events that meets the market demand.
  • Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.

Expected salary: £38626 – 41511 per year
