16 May 2025Role IntroductionReports to: Product Manager – Crew Tracking SystemThe Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) works round the clock to support our flight crew and ground employees in unexpected situations. We are the first point of contact in an emergency, and we help Flight Operations exercise operational control. The mission of IOC is to balance priorities of all the frontline operational sections, maintain schedule regularity and act in a safe, legal and cost-effective manner to recover the schedule after disruption.As the Testing Lead, you will be required to provide strong test leadership and coordination of Cathay Pacific Airways IT Quality Assurance (QA) for Crew Tracking System projects. The Testing Lead is also required to and provide QA oversight of Functional Test delivery for both internal and test vendors and manage the Functional Testing for Test Automation enablement.Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and consultation to Crew Tracking System Business Unit staff on adopting the CPA Quality Assurance policies, frameworks and best practices
  • Leading on follow-up on the Crew Tracking System Testing processes to ensure all deliverables are aligned with CPA quality standard
  • Conduct quality control review on Functional related areas in Crew Tracking System project
  • Leading the development of Test Management including testing strategies, skills and capabilities into Functional Testing phases of application portfolio in Crew Tracking System project. Develop Functional test strategy and test estimates for Crew Tracking System project
  • Produce or coordinate, review on the Functional test deliverables – test approach/strategy, test plan, test execution schedule, test case, traceability matrices and test summary report as appropriate
  • Monitor progress using established processes to ensure that the testing phases are delivered on time, within budget and to an agreed level of quality
  • Cross-team collaboration with Crew Tracking System BU, IT Teams and vendors to continue to develop and improve the Functional testing capabilities to increase value returned through projects. Maintain strong relationships with participating teams to ensure effective engagement practices
  • Directly and through influencing team leadership, ensure the on time quality delivery of various test phases using the agreed testing methodology in all project releases
  • Coach team members in understanding their role and responsibility and helping them to set engineering goals in terms of process adoption

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of IT experience with at least 7 years’ experience in enterprise testing domain
  • Proven experience in project management and managing large team of technology professionals
  • Deep knowledge of Crew Management domain, with strong experience testing Crew Operations systems
  • Deep knowledge of software QA methodologies and Strategies, and experience of Functional Testing and Test Automation techniques delivery on Scaled Agile, Agile and Waterfall development frameworks. Deep knowledge of test management tools (e.g. the HP suite of tools) and Testing tools (e.g. JIRA)
  • Airline /Crew Operations application experience would be an added advantage
  • Ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally and in written formats to a broad range of audiences; ability to ask probing questions and deliver presentations that have impact
  • Strong interpersonal skills, promoting healthy relationships and team dynamics
  • Strong organizational, writing, and interpersonal communications (assertiveness, consensus building, negotiation)
  • Proactive and willing to accept and drive changes to accomplish positive outcomes
  • Tertiary qualifications are essential. Certification of ISTQB/PMP/CISA/ITIL/ SAFe® Agilist is an advantage
