• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, translating business objectives into technology strategies that drive long-term growth and competitiveness

• Lead the development of a technology roadmap that aligns with business priorities, ensuring agility in response to market changes and technological advancements

• Lead the delivery of technology initiatives aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives, focusing on simplification, automation, data management, AI, and innovation

• Translate high-level strategic goals into actionable project plans, ensuring clarity and feasibility.

• Drive the adoption of innovative business models and technologies, ensuring they are embedded into the organisation’s strategic framework

• Identify emerging trends and technologies that can create competitive advantages, fostering a culture of continuous innovation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate, prototype, and scale new business solutions.

• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of technology and innovation initiatives

• Ensure that projects deliver tangible business value, driving efficiency, cost savings, and competitive advantage

• Work closely with stakeholders to align on expected benefits and monitor post-implementation performance

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget

• Manage risks and issues, developing mitigation plans to address potential roadblocks

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders

• Proven experience in leading technology strategy delivery, particularly in simplification, automation, data, AI, and innovation business management.

• Strong background in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).

• Excellent financial acumen with experience in business case development and benefit realization tracking.

• Demonstrated ability in resource planning and capacity management.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong understanding of data governance, AI, automation technologies, and innovation frameworks.
