Our client in Winnipeg, MB is looking for a Technical Specialist resource for a 6+ month contract to start with extensions, reference 109F-0225. The position can be remote.What you will be doing:Responsible for functions related to technical planning, design, configuration, operation and support of desktop services both physical and virtual. This includes Windows, hardware, productivity suites, directory/email administration, and virtual desktop technologiesAs the Tier III support contact, assist the Senior Problem Analyst in identifying the root cause of problems and consequently prevent incidents to the Service DeskInvestigate and troubleshoot problems in support of operations, and resolve issues in a timely mannerDesign, implement and configure Enterprise Client support systems. Apply Enterprise Architecture principles, standards, and methodology to ensure effective solution designCreate system documentation, including build, configuration and recoveryAssist in the development and execution of application test plansCoordinate technical activities for projectsComplete project activities on time and in scope, while adhering to project methodologiesManage the enterprise desktop environment, including firmware/software releases, system configuration and maintenanceCreate and document production Windows images for the various hardware models and virtual desktopsCreate, document and manage Microsoft Office for the enterpriseDevelop and document Group Policy Settings required for Microsoft Windows/OfficeMaintain system documentation, including build, configuration and recoveryCreate and modify procedures and standards as requiredRecommend & optimize Enterprise Client support systems to improve and maintain service levels and support Computer Operations with implementationProvide guidance and support to Computer Operations on maintaining Enterprise Client Support systems and integrationSchedule and execute System Change RequestsTroubleshoot, resolve, and document Tier III incidents. Provide internal IT support. Escalate to external service providers as requiredBackup/recover organizational services/systems in a timely manner as dictated by recovery objectives; and document all actions and resolutionsMonitor availability and performance for Enterprise Client Support systemsParticipate and contribute to capacity and availability plans for Enterprise Client Support systemsImplement recommendations for enhancements to ensure organizational computing environment maintains optimum availability and capacityInvestigate IT infrastructure system requirements and research new products and solutionsParticipate in product selection and complete purchase requisitionsParticipate in support agreement and license renewal processAdministers the delivery of system parameters; on end of life, current, and new emerging strategic technologies supported and delivered by the organizationWorks with the Technical Lead – Server and Enterprise Architecture to determine infrastructure directionSeek consultation from the Supervisor, Technology Infrastructure Services or Manager, Technology Infrastructure Services where solutions are not within established practices.What you must have:Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in advanced Enterprise Client support and service delivery role supporting enterprise class Windows and Office environmentsExperience with performing Windows operating system updates in an enterprise environmentExperience building desktop images using VMware virtualization platformExperience managing client devices with GPOsTechnical competency at administration and Tier III support levelProven experience in superior customer service delivery and supportProven project coordination experienceAll applicants must clear a background check.A Canadian based federal security clearance is considered an assetMust have Windows based computer with standard Windows 10 applicationsMust possess own communications deviceFor more information about TEEMA and to consider other career opportunities, please visit our website at
