Job description: On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Technical Project Manager to join our Client’s team on a contract basis. This role is Hybrid with once or twice a week onsite in Vancouver.Summary of the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee IT business applications and infrastructure projects. This short-term contract runs until March 28, 2025, with a possibility of extension.Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of IT projects, including commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems, custom development, business architecture, and operations.
- Manage project risks, changes, budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Oversee RFP processes, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
- Ensure seamless communication with stakeholders and teams.
- Utilize project management tools and methodologies, ensuring compliance with best practices.
Core Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in IT business applications and infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk and change management.
- Experience with RFPs, vendor selection, and contract/vendor management.
- Proficiency with MS Office 365 tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and SharePoint.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience in primary care or process change projects.
- Familiarity with PPM tools such as MS Project, OnePlan, Azure DevOps, and monday.com.
- Public sector experience is an asset.
- ITIL Foundation Version 4.0 (or 3.0) certification is considered an asset.
Terms
This contract position runs until March 28, 2025, with a possibility of extension. The role is Hybrid, requiring once or twice a week onsite in Vancouver, and candidates must be local to the Vancouver area.
