Uses professional judgment to perform technical system administration and development activities in different departments and sites. Operates in line with cGMP and/or customer requirements in respect of timing, accuracy, and availability of information. Functions equally as expert in the nomenclature process.Develops and maintains a global chemical knowledge management system. Validates the chemical database system independently. Does requirement engineering according to the need of diverse internal customers and system administrators.Key Responsibilities:Develops and maintains a global chemical knowledge management system. Does requirement engineering according to the need of diverse internal customers and system administrators.Substance Master Data Management: Adviser in the field of substance registration and chemical nomenclature.Plans, monitors and manages projects from initiation to implementation and is accountable for project results. Resolves issues during development or maintenance, directly communicating with the customer and other involved parties.Owns the nomenclature process and acts as a mentor in specialist area to junior and senior team members.Trains and supports new staff in the proper use of the global chemical knowledge management systemAnticipates, evaluates and implements trends and innovations in chemo-informatics. Queries databases to collate, analyze and summarize complex data for reports.Participates and prepares data for audits as required. Represents the team in cross-functional projects. Builds close working relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.Provides technical expertise and consulting to technical and business decisions. Identifies, suggests, validates and implements programming solutions for scientific applications.Supports data analysis and has a good working knowledge of SQL.Digitalization and Data Science expertise are considered a plus.Maintains and establishes interfaces with other relevant information systems (e.g. SAP, LIMS) based on customer requirements to enable fast and robust data transfer as needed.Identifies and provides consultancy for programming solutions to increase efficiency of R&D and KM work streams.Key Requirements:Master or PhD degree in information sciences, specialization in chemistry or biochemistry is an advantageAt least 5 years of professional experience in KM, innovation or digitalization, including management experienceKnowledgeable in information integrity and securityConceptual and analytical skills and very high level of comprehensionSound knowledge of content management and MS Office, DMS and SAPCompletion of core GMP trainingFluent in English and GermanWorks independently and solution-orientedStructured, efficient, reliable, flexible and supportiveService and team-oriented personality demonstrating safety awarenessCompetencies & Behaviors:Consistently independently adopts new development in his area of expertise and reacts quickly to technical issues with databases and systems in his responsibility finding solutions.Cost awareness while ensuring on time information availability and definition of procedures.
