Job description: Job Category: Science and TechnicalJob Description:Te Tūranga/About the RoleSilver Fern Farms Pareora have an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual interested in joining our compliance team as a Technical/Compliance Coordinator.The Technical/Compliance Coordinator is responsible for providing assurance that the quality control and food safety programmes are implemented effectively and are performing as required to meet production, food safety, customer, Overseas Market Access Requirements (OMAR) and regulatory requirements.Expected hours of work are 8.30am to 5pm Nover- June. Flexibility is required to work a rotating shift July to October.Key responsibilities will include:Champion and support a team culture that strives to achieve compliance, health and safety, and production targets * Mentor and build capacity of the Technical/Compliance Team consisting of auditors and quality assurance inspectors.Facilitate customer audits from a technical aspect and co-ordinate actions required to achieve an acceptable outcome.Identify issues that may affect compliance with food safety programmes and HACCP systems and work with relevant members of the site team and MPI to resolve them.Play a key role in implementing and promoting quality and continuous improvement initiatives, which can include helping with trials and investigations.Ōu Pūkenga /About You:The successful candidate will be able to effectively influence and support our people to meet all our requirements across production, food safety, quality, and regulatory frameworks. They will be confident with influencing through negotiation to ensure satisfactory outcomes for site and departmental goals. We are looking for the following skills;

  • Internal auditing qualification and/or experience desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience within the food industry is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP principles and application
  • Capacity to analyse and interpret data, draw conclusions, and present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Successful experience with influencing others and proactively driving a strong culture that aligns with the Silver Fern Farms values – Unstoppable Together, Improving Tomorrow and Always Caring
