Job description: Job Category: HBL PK Job FamilyResponsibilities:Supervise Regulatory Repository Management Team in:

  • Maintaining database for applicable regulatory requirements and instructions.
  • Extracting of actionable items from the regulatory circular and identify the relevant process owner to tag it with.
  • Circulating the regulatory requirements to the relevant departments/units.
  • Input excel based RRM data into the system on periodic basis.
  • Ensure maintenance of RRM and Issues Module in CRM automated system.
  • Raise the need for changes in CRM automated system’s RRM & Issues modules on periodic basis.
  • Providing guidance to the departments/ units in implementation of regulatory requirements.

Conduct Review of:

  • Action items tracker for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure follow-up tracking on defined frequency.
  • Evidence shared by stakeholders against regulatory actions to ensure adequacy of action implementation prior to closure. In case of criticality or challenge escalate to Unit Head.
  • Summary data and report findings on regulatory issues for onward submission to Unit Head on periodic basis.

RCSA Implementation:

  • Facilitate RCSA implementation team in conducting risk-control assessment by providing input at design-level.

Coordination & Liaison with internal and external stakeholders

  • To assist Unit Head in ensuring a professional liaison with the Regulator, representation at PBA and liaison with internal stakeholders to promote good working relations.
  • Work closely and proactively follow-up with various business units in general to advice on regulations, clarifications, regulatory exceptions, and other correspondence referred by internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with the Bank’s Internal Audit department on relevant compliance related matters.

Training, Awareness & Team Development

  • Actively participate in bank-wide awareness trainings (Learning & Development programs, computer-based training – CBT, soft skills, e-learning etc.) to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Remaining abreast with and conversant to revisions in Central Bank regulations/ guidelines, circulars, notifications, and industry best practices and apply knowledge in daily departmental routine.
  • Lead and guide the team by setting individual objectives, ensuring clarity of purpose, reviewing performance/ appraisals, providing on-going feedback.

Project Management / Other Assignments

  • Perform any project-based assignments/ strategic initiatives or any other administrative tasks as assigned by Unit Head.
  • Act as backup for Unit Head/ peers during their mandatory leaves, in order to ensure smooth functioning of the Unit.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive and support the continuous improvement in departmental strategies & organizational structure in order to enable efficiencies and enhance productivity through various tools such as process re-engineering.

Qualifications:Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree from an HEC accredited institution, (preferably Masters).

Minimum experience:

  • 5 – 7 years of banking experience preferably in Compliance/ Operational Risk Management function.
