Job description: About the roleMater’s Supply Chain Operations are seeking an experienced and driven Team Leader Inventory Operations. This is a permanent full-time position based in South Brisbane with local travel throughout Mater SEQ hospitals required at times.Reporting to Manager Warehousing and Inventory Operations, the Team Leader Theatre Inventory Operations is part of a centralised Mater Supply Chain Operations team, which is focused on building collaborative, customer-focused relationships and adopting a business partnering approach.Salary range: $90,832 – $100,070 (MCA4) per annum plus 11.5% superannuation and +What you’ll be doingThe primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Oversee Mater Operating Theatres inventory management to ensure optimal levels and placement
  • Manage inventory control team’s performance and development
  • Identify and address supply chain inefficiencies in Critical Care areas
  • Lead projects such as warehouse relocations and inventory level reviews
  • Supervise operational workflow and communicate performance expectations
  • Work with stakeholders to implement changes for greater efficiency
  • Maintain high levels of customer service in Operating Theatres
  • Support team development through coaching and performance reviews

About youThe successful candidate will have the following:

  • Diploma in Purchasing or Inventory Management, preferred
  • Experience in team leadership in a large organisation
  • Proven ability to lead change and manage purchasing operations
  • Strong data and reporting skills in a purchasing context
  • Knowledge and experience of ERP platforms or purchasing and inventory management platforms
  • Proficiency with MS Office and online collaboration tools
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Initiative, proactive communication, and collaborative leadership abilities
  • Commitment to workplace health, safety, and continuous improvement efforts
