You will have a chance to make a real difference to your local communities and to the lives of those you work with.About the roleLooking for a challenging role in enforcement services?Do you have experience working with people in stressful or confrontational situations?The Sheriff’s Office has a specialised team that serves documents and conducts the enforcement of civil court orders issued out of the Magistrates, District, Supreme and Family Courts. The team serves documents, summonses, overseas documents and performs enforcement activities such as Property (Seizure and Sale) Orders, Property (Seizure and Delivery) Orders and Warrants for Arrest. The Team Leader position provides technical expertise and advice on civil enforcement law and service. They also coordinate the human resources and field activities of the team, ensuring that adequate risk management mechanisms are in place and continually seeking to improve enforcement services. Some field duties may also be required. This is a unique opportunity to join a committed frontline team and make a positive contribution to the West Australian justice system.EligibilityThis position holder will be appointed as a Deputy Sheriff for the purpose of serving documents and executing orders on behalf of the Sheriff of Western Australia. It is a requirement that the position holder is successful in obtaining and maintaining a Baseline Level National Security Clearance and successfully completing a National Criminal History Check. The position holder will also be required to undergo and maintain a Western Australia Police Integrity Check.Any applicants who are currently not an Australian Citizen must be aware that this is an essential requirement to fulfil this position.
