Job description: Overall Summary: Manage the team performing the transited roles to GLC AMLT for SG’s ODD functions to ensure effective AML risk management in accordance to CIMB Group and the related regulators. In addition to overseeing the day to day operations, strategize the ODD tasks, mitigate risks, enforce regulatory compliance and utilize technology for efficiency. Adopt a working environment focusing on effective communication, training and continuous improvement to foster a proactive and adaptive culture in ongoing AML efforts within the regional market. Key Responsibilities: Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) Singapore (SG) ODD plays a crucial role in identifying and mitigating AML risks, contributing to the overall compliance and risk management efforts of the organisation. Oversee the ODD SG team supporting the transited roles based in Malaysia. Oversee the maker related roles in: Performing in-depth investigations into client profiles, transactions and activities to identify potential AML risks. Analysing complex ownership structures and beneficial ownership information. Compiling and capturing comprehensive documentation of ODD activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. Ensure all activities align with AML regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices. Uphold the quality of analysts’ work. Address any potential deficiencies or gaps identified during these quality assurance processes. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements related to ongoing due diligence. Management Stay informed about new money laundering trends, typologies, and emerging risks. Participate in training programs to enhance analysts’ skills and knowledge. Communicate analysts’ findings clearly and concisely, both in written reports and verbally. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to share insights and address challenges. Identify and implement continuous improvement plans to ensure a more prudent and effective management of the function. Support Group Chief Compliance Officer and stakeholders to achieve Group CIMB’s overall business and strategic objectives. Job Specification * Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Accounting / Finance / Business / Economics / Financial Engineering / Law) Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements Level 1 Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CAM) Level 2 Anti-Money Laundering & Counter Financing of Terrorism Practices (SCAM) or equivalent / higher Relevant Work Experience Experience in any of these areas would be an added advantage: AML risk management, ODD and / or transaction monitoring Performing CDD for Singapore market or other ASEAN market Overseeing outsourced functions in relation to data processing Required Competencies and Skills * AML / ODD or compliance Leadership qualities and able to lead a team Intermediate computer proficiency Innovative / creative People management skills Good interpersonal and influencing skills Outstanding in writing and communication skills Goal oriented, self-discipline, keen to learn and take challenges
