Job description: Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Taxation Specialist to join our client.Contract Period: 7 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: $25 per hour
Location: Waterloo, ON
Location Type: Hybrid: 3 days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs in office)
Business Hours: Monday to Friday; 9 AM to 5 PMJob Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints within the Canada Retirement business unit as they relate to Tax Reporting:

• Thoroughly, timely and in a professional manner
• Using experience with products, systems, and processes, including tax reporting requirements
• Ensuring measurements on accuracy, inquiry volume, research and turn-around times are met
• Interact with internal/external customers to find appropriate information and solutions
• During peak season being able to handle extreme volumes of work with high stress levels, little supervision and in a compact timeframe
• Responsible for customer service (answering basic and questions and being able to redirect for more complex calls) throughout the year and during peak season

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

• General understanding of: Financial services and distribution channels, Compliance principles, CRA/Revenue agency tax guidelines
• Experience with basic accounting or bookkeeping
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
• Knowledge of reconciliation and balancing procedures
• Investigative approach to resolving discrepancies
