Join #TeamGen.We love collaborating within our teams, which is why we’ve adopted a hybrid model allowing us to work from the office 2–3 times per week.We are hiring a Direct Tax Specialist based in Prague, Czech Republic.The Direct Tax Specialist will prepare and support the Company’s Direct tax filings in the Czech Republic (with potential to expand into other regions in Central Europe over time), ensuring compliance with CZ tax regulations, resolve tax related issues and work collaboratively as part of a globally based tax team.What You Will Do In This Role:Prepare and file direct tax returns for Avast SRO and other Czech entities, with potential expansion in Central Europe.Manage tax payments, forecasts, withholding tax returns, and tax audits in the Czech Republic.Prepare tax provision calculations for statutory and US GAAP financial statements.Maintain effective communication with Czech tax authorities to resolve inquiries or disputes.Handle Czech R&D credits and manage the global Legal Entity Rationalization (LER) program.Review transfer pricing calculations/documentation for relevant entities.Stay updated on Central European tax law changes and support business units with ad-hoc direct tax projects.What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role:6+ years of tax experience with Big 4 public accounting firm and inhouse/corporate experience is a plusA certified tax advisor, registered with the Chamber of Tax Advisors of the Czech Republic (KDPČR)Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, utilizing MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
