Job description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Tableau Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Tableau&aposs functionality, from data blending to dashboard creation, and the ability to transform data into actionable business insights. You will work closely with business stakeholders to create visually appealing and high-performing Tableau dashboards that drive data-driven decision-making. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Dashboard Development: Design and develop complex Tableau dashboards, utilizing Tableau&aposs full range of features, including LOD (Level of Detail) expressions, action filters, user filters, and advanced dashboard practices. Testing and Validation: Lead and execute comprehensive end-to-end testing of Tableau dashboards for data accuracy, functionality, and user experience. Create and maintain detailed test cases covering all aspects of dashboard performance and data integrity. Data Preparation & Integration: Leverage Tableau Prep for data organization, cleansing, and scheduling. Use data blending, sorting, sets, and maps to transform raw data into meaningful insights. Performance Tuning: Optimize Tableau Server dashboards for performance to ensure a seamless and responsive client experience, addressing and improving any performance-related issues. Business Insight Generation: Synthesize information from multiple data sources to uncover meaningful business insights, allowing stakeholders to make informed decisions. Collaborative Development: Work closely with business users, data engineers, and other developers to translate business requirements and user stories into actionable and visually appealing analytical solutions. Communication and Storytelling: Communicate complex data-driven insights clearly and effectively, both in writing and through compelling visual storytelling with data. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Display strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly troubleshoot issues and implement solutions. Demonstrate mature judgment in managing project scope and timelines. Agile Environment Adaptation: Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of delivering iterative solutions in an agile environment. Actively contribute to discussions and respect diverse ideas and opinions from team members. Skills & Qualifications: Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Tableau Developer, with expertise in designing and developing end-to-end Tableau solutions. Technical Proficiency: Advanced experience in Tableau Dashboard development, including complex calculations, LOD expressions, action filters, and user filters. Proficient in using Tableau Prep for data preparation and organizing data sources. Strong knowledge of data blending, sorting, sets, and maps in Tableau. Experience optimizing performance of Tableau Server dashboards. Data Analysis & Modeling: Solid understanding of data modeling principles, particularly in relation to user specifications and requirements. Testing & Quality Assurance: Demonstrated ability to create detailed test cases, execute end-to-end testing, and ensure data accuracy and dashboard functionality. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights in a clear and understandable way for diverse audiences. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to address challenges quickly and effectively. Collaboration & Adaptability: A team player who is open to feedback, values collaboration, and can navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, agile environment. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with other BI tools such as Power BI or QlikView. Experience with database technologies (SQL, etc.) and data warehousing concepts. Knowledge of data visualization best practices and UI/UX principles. Tableau Desktop and Server certifications are a plus.
