This is a fixed term/secondment opportunity to December 2025 supporting both Tauranga and Whakatāne Hospital and external stakeholders.This senior leadership position provides administrative strategic planning and oversight to perioperative services that ensures optimisation of theatre, procedure room and outpatient resources. You will support communication and coordination between multiple teams. You will also be responsible for the management of the Administration Coordinators for Surgical and Anaesthesia services to ensure that service delivery is of a high standard, efficient and effective.This position reports to and provides support for the Planned Care Services Manager.This is a full and varied role, and you will require excellent communication and coordination skills as well as a commitment to professional excellence.Alongside having the opportunity to contribute positively to the provision of planned care services for the growing Bay of Plenty population (260,000), you will be committed to a whole of system approach and be supportive of our people and their whānau.A key focus of this role will be to ensure a culture of Manaakitanga, and a pro-equity approach is at the forefront when engaging with our people.About the LocationHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne. We serve a population of approximately 308,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty’s largest employers with over 4500 staff.About youTo be suitable for this role it is important you have the following skills and attributes:
