In a rapidly changing, increasingly digital and disrupted business environment, we support the flow of capital across borders, help bring new products and innovation to market and enable organisations to reshape themselves for a better future.Strategy and Transactions Ireland – Transaction DiligenceOur Ireland FSO SaT practice is a core part of our integrated EMEIA SaT team, working cross border for strategic corporates and international private equity or sovereign wealth clients. The Transaction Diligence team assists clients throughout the entire transaction life cycle to identify deal drivers and assess issues that impact equity value while working closely with other specialists both within SaT and other Service Lines, we utilise professional experience, sector experts and leverage data analytic driven insights to provide best in class transaction advise to our clients.Focused on global Financial Service (“FS”) TransactionsAs a result of sustained growth and significant market activity in the Irish and international market, the team continues to grow executing market leading transactions in sectors including: aircraft leasing, aviation finance, airlines, international and domestic banking, insurance, RegTech, InsurTech, professional services, alternative lending platforms, Fintech, FX and payments, retail wealth management, international fund services, asset servicing, investment management, private equity and sovereign wealth.Your key responsibilitiesAs a senior manager in out SaT team, you will have the opportunity to lead global and high-profile engagements as part of a market leading team, combined with significant development opportunities to step up and take additional responsibilities.You will lead the delivery of critical insights and reports across vendor and buy side due diligence, seller assistance and other transaction support roles.Our projects are typically complex, integrated assignments that involve working with colleagues across a variety of disciplines and jurisdictions, as well as other professional advisers. You’ll work with the world’s leading corporate organisations, fastest-growing companies and private equity firms on some of the largest cross-border engagements in the global market.Skills and attributes for success

  • Plan, prepare and lead the preparation of client deliverables including excel data books, analysis, reports, presentations and discussion packs
  • Embrace our technology and innovation to enhance our client deliverables and the quality of our client engagement
  • Support and lead aspects of the go-to market strategy including thought leadership and business development
  • Analyse and interpret the financial and operational results of companies targeted for sale by reviewing financial information and participating in interviews with management.
  • Leverage data analytics and display the curiosity to bring benefits of new technologies and solutions as part of ways of working
  • Based on understanding the key business drivers, prepare and review analyses of historical and pro forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact funding requirements and deal valuation
  • Project manage teams and work closely with all members as well as forming strong internal links within transaction support and other departments in EY both in the Ireland and internationally to form multi-disciplinary teams
  • Support talent development, coaching, mentoring and business recruitment initiatives

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Personal and professional ambition and a desire to make your mark
  • Integrity and clear core values
  • 5+ years post qualification transaction due diligence experience or comparable experience
  • Directly managed staff, motivated and coached junior team members
  • Ability to attend the Dublin EY office a number of days a week
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification
