Job description: Job DescriptionSyrian Negotiation CommissionDescriptionBackgroundThe Syrian Negotiation Commission – Geneva Office (SNCGO) represents and supports the SNC and its mandate by expanding and facilitating outreach to Syrians and international actors. The SNC works towards a negotiated end to the conflict benefitting the Syrian people through dialogue, peaceful means and democracy in line with UN Security Council Resolution 2254.The SNCGO seeks to develop a comprehensive strategic plan to enhance institutional maturity and build capacity in strategic planning and performance measurement. This aims also to establish a clear organizational structure and governance framework to support the implementation of the SNCGO objectives.Key Responsibilities

• Conduct an in-depth analysis of the SNC/GO current operations, governance frameworks, and institutional maturity.
• Identify relevant best practices in strategic planning and organizational development.
• Design and facilitate workshops to engage stakeholders and gather insights on the strategic planning process.
• Develop and present a clear and efficient strategic plan and an organizational structure.
• Finalize the strategic plan and organizational structure based on stakeholder input.

Deliverables

• A comprehensive work plan and supporting documentation.
• A strategic analysis report highlighting best practices.
• The final strategic plan.
• Regular progress reports throughout the project phases.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• At least seven years of experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with the operational context of NGOs and similar organizations.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to analyze complex organizational challenges and propose practical solutions.
