Here, your ideas and efforts directly shape the places where you and your community live, work, and play.City of Newcastle is seeking an innovative and experienced Strategic & Place Planning Manager to lead our Strategic Planning and Precinct & Place Planning teams. This pivotal leadership role sits within the Planning & Development Leadership Team and plays a key part in delivering transformative outcomes for our city.This role will offer you the opportunity to apply your strong strategic leadership and expert advice across a broad portfolio, including:

  • Strategic land use planning
  • Precinct planning and coordination (including the Broadmeadow precinct)
  • Affordable housing strategies
  • Heritage conservation and planning
  • Planning agreements and local infrastructure contributions
