The Inflight Retail team sits within our commercial function, and is tasked with delivering a retail strategy that will deliver £1 Profit per head by 2026 and beyond(Anticipated to be
£100M per annum). We want to stay ahead of the latest consumer trends in food, cosmetics, and consumer goods, identify and implement technology that will reach well beyond the immediate cabin environment and extend to e-commerce capabilities into the customer journey.Reporting into easyJet’s IFR Head of Business Performance, this role has a crucial part to play in the development and execution of easyJet’s IFR strategy and performance. This individual will be responsible for defining and implementing a set of profit enhancing initiatives across the IFR business unit (Commercial, Operational and Customer Satisfaction). The individual will need to have a strategic and financial background and will be able to demonstrate the coordination of teams working across operations, retail and working with 3rd parties to deliver the IFR strategy.How you will do it:You will be responsible for working together with the IFR Head of Business Performance and other key stakeholders to identify and define cross functional profit enhancing initiatives. The individual will build the yearly plan and multi-year initiatives roadmap and then ensure that the overall delivery of the plan is achieved. In doing so, the individual will ensure component parts of the strategic initiatives deliver in line with the IFR 5-year plan and maximise profitability and customer satisfaction. The individual will be required to articulate progress against initiatives across the partnership and hold stakeholders to account for delivery. This will involve working cross-functionally and in particular ensuring that the initiatives can be measured through financial benefit.In addition you will be responsible for developing and delivering strategic initiatives with easyJet’s retail and operational teams as well as IFR partners, ensuring delivery of efficiencies targets and broader retail, operational and customer metrics.Develop compelling business cases for initiatives with demonstrable financial, customer and operational benefits.Present complex and highly numerical concepts in an engaging and easy to understand way to a wide range of business stakeholders to gain buy-in to initiatives and business change.Contribution to the IFR 5-year and annual plan that develops the profitability of IFR proposition taking accountability for the management of all elements of the strategic initiatives.Accountable for the identification and quantification of new initiatives to support IFR using both the business planning cycle as well as other ad hoc opportunities to develop further the pipeline of opportunities.Work collaboratively with dnata in management of 3rd parties to deliver initiatives necessary including technology providers, supply chain and LMP providers.Act as business requirements lead and work collaboratively with easyJets data science and product teams to develop a set of aircraft loading and bar-set optimisation tools in order to optimise the on-board product customer availability whilst managing operational cost levers,Through working with the data science teams, contribute towards the overall IFR vision to create a more data-driven business which efficiently provides the right product to the right customer, in the most cost-effective way. Achieved through tailoring product availability to expected customer demand through a set of insight tools.Deliver diagnostic and forecasted analytics to help inform commercial decision making, capturing the breadth of inputs from across other departments, including competitor analysis, demand evolution, relative benefit of various projects.QualificationsWhat you will need to do the role:· Commercially astute – You are a high impact, commercial focussed individual, who can lead and influence a matrix of stakeholders to deliver objectives with the ability to interrogate and optimise economics· Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and a structured risk-taking mind-set, willing to trial new ideas with a test and learn mentality· Strong communicator – you’re able to communicate complex ideas with clarity and impact to a diverse stakeholder group· Project management – you can coordinate complex cross-functional teams to deliver results. This includes planning, stakeholder engagement, delivery and tracking· Strategic acumen – ability to understand insights, competitor, and market trends, and set a direction· Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills· Ability to develop, quantify an implement initiatives using data including data science and AI· Effective – you can deliver commercial change at pace and can work well under pressure.
