Job description: Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this roleStrategic Advisor – Engagement and ImpactWe have an exciting opportunity in Te Ihuwaka (the research centre within the Education Review Office) for a Strategic Advisor, Engagement and Impact. This position is focused on communications and stakeholders, to support the translation of our national review insights into real-world impacts. You will be in a unique position to influence positive change across Aotearoa New Zealand’s education sector.What you’ll doYou’ll lead and deliver key communications and engagement activities, including:

• Driving Te Ihuwaka’s Impact Strategy and Plan
• Managing online channels – social media, website, and intranet
• Leading messaging, media liaison, and communications plans
• Building strong stakeholder relationships and supporting team capability
• Producing high-quality publications, reports, and digital content
• Developing innovative communication products and channels

What you’ll bring

• Communications and media expertise
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Project leadership and ability to deliver under pressure
• Excellent writing, editing, and attention to detail
• Understanding of the NZ government, public service, and media landscape
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Visio a bonus!)
