Job description: Rank: Statistical Analyst IIDepartment / Cluster: Bureau Support, Strategy and Planning Division, HA Head OfficePay: HK$35,795- HK$50,373 [HGPS point 14 – 21] per month (including Monthly Allowance)Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.Key ResponsibilitiesThe post-holder will be seconded to the Research and Data Analytics Office, Health Bureau (HHB) with main duties as follows: * Carry out defined tasks in the structured processes to extract, organise and transform collected data from multiple sources into analysable datasets supporting development of data visualisation, data analytics and statistical modelling.

• Provide support on the annual updating of Domestic Health Accounts, from data collection and collation, to report compilation and dissemination of findings via publication and IT platform.
• Execute the planned data visualisation, data analytics and statistical modelling task.
• Conduct procedure according to quality assurance plans during the statistical production processes.
• Compile statistical reports for policy reviews and ad hoc enquiries.
• Assist in preparation of documentation on statistical production processes and presentation materials.
• Provide support to the planning, implementation and result dissemination of surveys and research studies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by seniors.

Entry RequirementsA bachelor degree in Statistics, Data Science or equivalent.Preferable Attributes/Exposure * Knowledge of and experience in health economics, statistical computing techniques and application of statistical packages & data visualisation tools such as SAS, Tableau, Python, R, GIS.

• Experience in planning and coordination of large-scale data collection from multiple sources.
• Experience in handling demographic, socio-economic and health related statistics.
• Experience in statistical analysis and computing work, economic analysis, or research related work in a healthcare setting.
• Competency in use of Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word and Outlook).
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and openness to learning new skills.
