Job description: YOU AND YOUR TEAM:You will join the Economic Automation Team within Economics department – a crucial team in terms of making work more efficient. In your role you will be responsible for continuous improvement and automation of the tasks containing economic indicators time series. The tools that you will build after the training will decrease the manual work in Content Teams.WHY IS THIS JOB IMPORTANT?Our group provides over 17 millions economic indicators from national and international sources used by LSEG clients. From general market profiles to very detailed economic indicators – our customers use them all for trend analysis, making long-term investment decisions as well as real-time ones. Automation Team enables timely update of such a number of data with the highest quality.SOME OF DAILY TASKS YOU WILL PERFORM:Creation of automated tools (called converters) to update Economic indicators based on releases from primary sources of economic dataEnsure that data is collected and input according to the required standards of accuracy, timeliness and completenessConnect with the team on challenges you face and recommend ideas for improving the efficiency of the proceduresWHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?Basic knowledge and focus on process improvementPractical knowledge of MS Excel on intermediate levelBasic knowledge of programming language – Python, C#, PHP – would be your advantageGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to learn quicklyAbility to collaborate with othersHigh level of attention to detailsProud to share LSEG in the Philippines is Great Place to Work certified (Nov ’24 – Nov ’25).Learn more about life and purpose of our company directly from Philippine colleagues’ video:LSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
