Why is this role important?We are a mid-sized, not for profit healthcare data analytics organization focused on leveraging cutting-edge technologies and contributing to improve the Canadian healthcare ecosystem. Our newly developed multi-year AI roadmap is poised for implementation, and we are seeking a dynamic and people-centric individual to lead its successful execution.The Senior Consultant will support the AI roadmap Implementation and will be responsible for leading the execution of CIHI’s AI roadmap across multiple business areas in support of CIHI’s AI strategy. Reporting to the VP and CIO, the Senior Consultant provides centralized oversight and leadership for all AI initiatives across the organization. This role will work closely with senior leadership, internal teams, vendors, and partners to ensure initiatives are aligned with CIHI’s AI strategy, well-scoped, governed effectively with consideration to people impacts and in accordance with CIHI values, and delivered on time. The Sr. Consultant drives momentum, ensures accountability, and champions change to scale AI across the organization.What you’ll do1. Provides strategic guidance and cross functional leadership to drive successful adoption and integration of AI technologies across business processes. Identifies opportunities for AI-driven transformation, aligning AI initiatives with organizational goals, and leading change management efforts with a focus on employee engagement and development.2. Leads the development and maintenance of an integrated project roadmap ensuring alignment across all streams and business areas. Provide high-level direction, set priorities, and oversee progress on multiple initiatives led by various teams while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.3. Provides leadership and oversight across AI initiatives by guiding project leads, aligning efforts, and ensuring timely progress on key activities. Engages senior leadership with regular strategic updates and works with IT leadership to steer technology procurement and implementation in line with corporate priorities.4. Manages relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines, budget, and fostering strong partnerships based on trust and mutual goals.5. Identifies risks and challenges, proactively mitigates issues, and escalates when necessary to ensure project continuity while supporting resilience and adaptability within project teams.6. Tracks milestones, KPIs, and deliverables, producing detailed status reports for senior management and stakeholders as required focusing on team contributions and successes.7. Oversees the project funds in alignment with project plans and deliverables, generates reports and updates as required ensuring transparency and accountability with deliverables.8. Applies a foundational understanding of AI and systems to facilitate informed decision-making for better business outcomes and problem-solving while encouraging continuous learning and growth within the project teamsWhat you’ll bring to the table
