High performance starts with you.Purpose of the Role:As an Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in the business, helping to make key decisions in its planning process, providing accurate information and insight to internal and external, financial, and non-financial stakeholders.Role Dimensions:This is a full-time role that sits within our Financial Planning & Analysis team, based at McLaren Technology Centre. This role requires flexibility to working hours, working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment and being comfortable dealing with high volume of workload.Principal Accountabilities:Prepare month-end Board and Executive reports on business performance, including insights on capex projects and variances by business unit.Analyze and forecast net debt and maintain consistency in reporting explanations.Enhance internal reporting to provide insightful content that supports timely decision-making.Collaborate with colleagues to maintain our internal reporting suite and ensure accurate and timely internal reporting for Business Partners and the CFO.Develop business performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement in working capital and risk management.Work with the financial systems product owner to maintain and enhance financial planning tools.Review subsidiary performance against investment plans.Provide constructive feedback to Business Partners on financial forecasts and risks, trends and opportunities reporting.Manage the reporting cycle, preparing the finance team for budgeting and forecasting needs.Understand stakeholder requirements for financial reporting tools and lead initiatives to upgrade, improve or address team needs effectively.Cash and EBIT reporting.Cashflow forecasting.Business Planning and Analysis – Supporting forecasts, Annual Budgets, and Long-Range Plan Submission.Developing and implementing analytical standards for reporting and modelling KPIs to enable the business partners to drive added value with their respective business units.Provide accurate and timely analysis of financial information.Establish strong working relationships within the wider finance team.Investigate and apply best practice in business planning and forecasting.Knowledge, Skills and ExperiencesQualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and capable of working with large complex datasets.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and you’re able to communicate effectively with business partners outside of Finance.Excellent numerical analyst.Accurate, with a detail focused and a collaborative approach.Ability to prioritise and organise to work effectively to deadlines.Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude, who is happy to work independently when required.You’ll have an inquisitive mind.Personal Attributes:Exceptional work ethic; takes accountability for both success and failure; continually strives for better.The drive, determination, and commitment to get things done and get results.Proactive approach to working practices and demonstrates a positive/can-do attitude.Ability to work well under pressure.Demonstrates a self-starting nature and the ability to manage your own workload.Ability to work with diverse workforce and in challenging conditions.Displays a professional curiosity to seek opportunities for continual improvement.Has the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with key stakeholders.Can multi-task and juggle several of ongoing projects at once.Strong organisational skills and co-ordination capabilities.What can McLaren offer?We constantly strive to be better tomorrow than we are today.
