Job description: About the roleWe’re pleased to invite applications for the position of Spares Inventory Management Officer, to join our Supply Support Team.Based in Bundamba, Queensland and reporting to the Support Supply Chain Manager, you will support the Deployable Health Centre in the monitoring, management and procurement of Spares and Consumables, utilised in the Deployable Health Capability Mission System.In addition, you’ll propose strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of Supply Chain Logistics.We work in a fast-paced, demanding, challenging as well as time sensitive environment; we’re diverse, global, resilient, adaptable and agile, therefore the ability to solve problems is critical.Along with satisfaction & rewards that comes with working for a global defence company, you can expect a generous salary, a range of outstanding benefits & an inclusive working environment.This position also offers Flexible working options and a 9 Day Fortnight.As part of your specific responsibilities, you will:
- Manage the inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
- Maintain stock levels of items required for performing maintenance activities.
- Monitor demand and analyse data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
- Report on inventory levels, supply chain progress, and procedural efficiency.
- Utilise the Defence Logistics information System to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.
- Ensure orders are placed to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus.
- Communicate with Stakeholders regarding demands, inbound and outbound deliveries as well as delays.
- Provide support to Supply Chain Team as required.
About youYour skills and experience will include:
- Over 5 years Logistic Support, Product and Inventory Management experience.
- Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies.
- Experience conducting tracking and data analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- The ability to work with a high level of autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in Defence Logistics Systems (MILIS/ERP) preferred.
- Hold a current Forklift Licence.
