Job description: About the Opportunity

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program in preparation for NYSE listing
• Assess current internal controls and identify gaps relative to SOX requirements
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to design and implement effective internal controls
• Develop and document policies, procedures, and control matrices for key financial processes
• Coordinate with external auditors and advisors to ensure timely compliance with SOX standards
• Conduct risk assessments and control evaluations across all relevant business units
• Deliver training and awareness programs to educate internal stakeholders on SOX compliance
• Monitor the ongoing effectiveness of implemented controls and recommend improvements
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and the audit committee
• Stay current with SOX regulatory updates and industry best practices, ensuring continuous alignment

About You

• 5+ years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or financial controls, preferably in the mining or natural resources sector
• Proven track record of leading SOX implementation projects, ideally for companies undergoing U.S. public listings
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and COSO internal control frameworks is preferable
• Experience working cross-functionally with finance, operations, and IT teams in a project environment
• Background in working with external auditors and regulatory bodies, with a clear understanding of NYSE listing requirements
