Job description: We’re looking for a seasoned Solution Architect with expertise in CMS, website architecture, and digital commerce platforms to lead a major website replacement initiative.This is a high-impact role focused on shaping and delivering a modern, headless, composable CMS with integrated eCommerce capabilities.This role is based in Palmerston North and requires a minimum of 2 days per week on site.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural design of a scalable, secure web platform supporting headless CMS and eCommerce integration
• Own the technical side of the RFP process-from requirements gathering to vendor evaluation and selection
• Define target architecture using MACH principles (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless)
• Align digital platform design with enterprise strategies, working cross-functionally with UX, security, business, and engineering teams
• Provide guidance on implementation planning and transition into delivery

About You:

• Strong experience as a Solution Architect across large-scale web, CMS, or digital commerce projects
• Deep understanding of headless CMS platforms (e.g. Contentful, AEM, Sitecore, Strapi) and eCommerce tools (e.g. commercetools, Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus)
• Skilled in composable architecture, API integration, and cloud deployment
• Well-versed in the digital ecosystem-CRM, analytics, CDNs, and marketing tech
• Confident communicator and collaborator, experienced in stakeholder engagement and vendor management
• Previous involvement in RFP/RFI processes highly desirable
