Therefore, we are looking for a Software Engineer to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.Your role in our teamAt our office in Lystrup, you’ll become part of the Software Development within the Multi-Domain Systems (MDS) domain working on mission-critical solutions for civil and military customers — a key strategic area for Terma. You’ll work alongside over 200 passionate colleagues across our Lystrup and Søborg sites. We bring together multiple technical disciplines, including systems engineering, software development, data science, infrastructure & automation, and test management — all committed to delivering security for nations, critical infrastructure, alliances, and individuals.As our department continues to grow rapidly, we’re looking for dedicated Software Developers to join us on this journey.Develop land/air systems in JAVAYou will become part of one of our MDS Lystrup land or air application areas, where you’ll join a dedicated product or project team. After an intensive introduction period with a steep learning curve, you’ll quickly grow into a fully contributing software developer.As we continue to strengthen our software development organization, you’ll play a key role in driving predictability, reducing costs, and increasing agility in our development process.How you will make a meaningful contributionWorking across all stages of the software lifecycle — from design and programming to testing, integration, and documentation — your key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and code new and existing software features – in Java
  • Carry out unit testing of the implemented software as automatically as possible
  • Carry out user requirement analysis and software requirement specifications in close cooperation with SW architects/leads.
  • Documentation of the performed development according to our processes’

Bring your world class expertise into playYou are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement

  • You hold a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • You have proven experience with Java development
  • You have solid skills in software design, programming, and executing both automated and manual unit tests
  • Preferably, you have experience in setting up test environments, simulators, or familiarity with hardware
  • You are familiar with tools such as Java, Python, JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Gerrit, Artifactory, SonarQube, and IntelliJ

You also bring proven knowledge in

  • Object-oriented Java development
  • Parallel programming, thread handling, and synchronization
  • Software design principles and common design patterns
  • Working with large legacy systems
  • Software development toolchains including version control systems
