We are committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles by ensuring our partnership with Māori are at the forefront of all our conversations.Mō te tūnga | About the roleWe are seeking a permanent, part time or fulltime SMO with experience in Fetal Medicine and High Risk Obstetrics to join us in the Women’s Health Department.You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, including obstetricians and obstetric medicine, specialist midwifery, radiology and sonography, neonatology, genetics, paediatric pathology, paediatric cardiology, surgery, and neurology.Starting as soon as possible. Clinical duties are Part Time ( 0.75/ 30 hours per week) or full time (1 FTE/ 40 hours per week). You will also be required to take part in the obstetrics and gynaecology on call roster.Personal Specification:Education & Qualifications – ProfessionalEssential

  • Possession of the Certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine (CMFM) or Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) or equivalent experience

Experience/KnowledgeEssential

  • Be a specialist with skills in Fetal medicine, ultrasound, counselling, and procedures
  • Experience in contributing to maternal medicine services working alongside obstetric physicians
  • Proven clinical Obstetrics experience.

Desired

  • Acute gynaecology experience including management of cervical insufficiency including cerclage, and management of miscarriage
  • Research and guideline development experience
