Job description: Our client, a major oil and gas producer, is looking for a Site Services Coordinator for their location near Fort St John location. This role oversees 3rd party contract companies who provide civil, labour, fluid hauling, pressure and vac services, and equipment rental for Montney Operations. The coordinator is responsible to ensure that contract vendors maintain an appropriate skillset and manpower for related Montney activities. The Site Services Coordinator liaises with Montney departments (Operations, Maintenance, Projects, and Drilling/Completions) and additional vendor resourcing. This position will run on a 14/14 camp rotation with flight / mileage reimbursement available.Accountabilities and End Results:
- Manage all laydown yards, temporary and permanent office/trailer locating and siting (including applications for occupancy permits), and site signage.
- Oversee execution of all Operations Services contractors completing Pre-& Post Turnaround/Equipment Outage work scopes.
- Responsible for Process Safety and Personal Safety of 3rd party Ops Services Contract work force.
- Manage to the terms and conditions of the contracts the position is responsible for.
- Manage, liaise, and oversee the permitting, planning, preparation, and execution of relevant Operations Services work scope. Ensuring efficient, high quality, on schedule work execution is completed.
- Ensure proper record keeping and tracking for compliance with Transportation of Dangerous Good (TDG) regulations and CPC document retention policies for process and hazardous waste streams.
- Preparation, for efficient execution of all Operations Services work scopes under your care.
- Ensure efficient, high quality, on schedule work execution is completed to support Montney.
- Monitor and work directly with 3rd party Ops Services Contractors to deliver Quality, Safe work on schedule.
- Ensures effective planning and the coordination of resources, workforce, equipment, and materials to complete projects as scheduled.
- Practice cost control and budget management. Identify and report challenges to the planned budget.
- Influence the high reliability organizational culture sitewide
Primary Functions:
Safety
- As an HSE Safety Leader, responsible for leading, managing and supporting the policies, goals, efforts, practices and programs of the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System
- Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility.
- Deliver Triple Zero results through “Walking the Talk” – completing mandatory training, observing, and reporting on HSE behaviours, and intervening where necessary
- Participate in and contribute to all HSE and Sustainable Development efforts, including but not limited to risk assessments, PSI, and Contractor Management
- Enforce corporate safety standards, including Safe Operating Practices, and promote safety culture among staff, direct reports, full-time equivalents, and contractors
- Lead and/or actively participate in Area and Contractor Safety meetings and other activities to deliver a consistent message on CPC’s commitment to safety, and spill prevention.
- Ensure that all staff and contractors undertaking work for the Operations Services organization are certified and competent to undertake the work as assigned
- Provide first response and take ownership of incidents; where required, lead incident investigation, and ensure action items associated with audits and investigations are completed
- Review any incidents from area of responsibility; ensure corrective actions are completed and learnings are leveraged
- Responsible for their own safety, and the safety of the individual working for and around themselves
Technical
- Consult directly with Operations, Environmental, Turnaround Team, Planning, Maintenance, Projects, Drilling/Completions, and external contractors.
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and coordinate contractors in the safe, timely and cost-effective execution of activities.
- Ensure that contractors are qualified, trained, competent, and aware of work standards, policies, and procedures.
- Initiate PJHA permitting as required and ensure compliance of same.
- Single point of contact for Civil/Infrastructure, Turnaround /Equipment outage Pre/Post work execution, and production critical work scopes.
- Support operations and maintenance trades as required.
- Always represent ConocoPhillips best interests.
- Practice effective cost control and contractor management:
- Effectively manage site rental equipment via 3rd party contractor.
- Work with suppliers to look ahead at future business demands and coordinate resources to meet that demand.
- Conduct regular, planned, walkthroughs of buildings and areas of responsibility. Document and action those walkthroughs accordingly.
- Maintain awareness of contractor’s daily activities.
- Lead and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews and operations meetings.
- Help ensure TDG and Dow/non-Dow compliance on-site and relative to hauling and disposal of these waste streams.
- Ensure that work performed in the field is done safely, spill free and within the scheduled time frame and budget.
- Participate in regular reviews of work practices to identify changes, improvements, and optimization opportunities.
- Provide technical expertise for job planning, and ensure that a scope of work is available, as required.
- Own and contribute to development of Standard Job Plans, including task lists, work order closures when required.
- Coordinate the execution of unplanned emergency and urgent work including interaction with Operations, Maintenance, Planning and Procurement and other stakeholders.
- Participate in execution of major maintenance events as required.
- Provide input into scope of major maintenance events, including shutdowns, and turnarounds.
- Identify, prioritize, implement and support continuous improvement opportunities
- Participate as a member of project teams related to Production Operations’ and cross-functional initiatives, as required
