Team Members of the T-Hub are also located and working from the Czech Republic within the local organization we have at T-Mobile Czech RepublicWhat you will doAs a Site Reliability Engineer at TDI, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our core infrastructure and services. You will work closely with development teams to build, deploy, and maintain systems that power our telecommunications network. You’ll be a key contributor to our adoption of modern DevOps and GitOps practices.

• Design, build, and maintain core infrastructure services supporting our telecommunications network
• Develop and maintain automation for deployment, scaling, monitoring, and incident response.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, participating in an on-call rotation (if applicable).
• Collaborate with development teams to improve system reliability and performance throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.
• Participate in capacity planning, performance testing, and disaster recovery planning.
• Ensure system security and compliance with relevant industry standards.
• Contribute to implementing and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Apply GitOps principles to manage infrastructure and application configurations, ensuring consistency and repeatability.
• Utilise GitOps tools (such as Flux or ArgoCD) for declarative configuration management and automated deployments.

Required knowledge and skills

• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.
• Strong experience with Linux system administration.
• Experience with cloud platforms
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Go, Bash, etc.).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing).
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
• Excellent English language skills (written and verbal).
• Understanding of GitOps principles and practices.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with specific telecommunications technologies and protocols.
• Certifications in relevant cloud platforms or technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes).
• Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Experience with specific GitOps tools (Flux, ArgoCD).
• Experience working with diverse telco vendors and understanding their unique workload requirements.
• Familiarity with creating modular GitOps templates.
• Experience in debugging distributed systems and network-related issues.
