Job description: Job PurposeUnder direction of the Site Leader, the GPS Lead has full accountability for leadership and development of the site GPS strategy and implementation. Building strong relationships across the site to deliver the Business Strategy and improve Business Performance (Quality, Safety, Service, Cost, and digital innovation), the GPS Lead will enable the site to deploy its strategy by building GPS capability to achieve maturity and a CI mindset across all levels and functions.Education, Experience & SkillsBachelors/Master of Engineering / Pharmacy / Business Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering, Lean / Six Sigma certification & Data Analytics

  • Minimum 3 years of experience of managing a functional or continuous improvement role with good learning agility. Worked in or as part of Supply chain and Understanding of the manufacturing process.

Good command over data analytics and people management with ability to understand and dissect processesKey ResponsibilitiesBuilding broad and consistent GPS capability throughout the site, from a strategic and operational perspective (e.g. performance management systems, lean leadership capability, CI and problem-solving capability, waste elimination capability etc.)Facilitating the site to define and articulate its Annual Programs. Ensuring the annual programs are appropriately prioritized in line with Breakthrough objectives and Strategic Imperatives.With the SLT, enabling the manufacturing site to be focused on right strategy and direction by being a channel for CI initiatives and activities.Holding and deploying performance management systems, in order to track, on or above target performance, ensuring appropriate governance and rigor in place.Leveraging Data Analytics, Automation and Digital technology to support strategy development and problem solving.Ensuring GPS standards are embedded as per site GPS Maturity Targets.In partnership with SLT, developing, driving and evolving the establishment of Outstanding Leaders and Teams across the siteDelivering change projects within own team and supporting others to do the same for themselvesLeading and mobilizing (“push and pull”) across the site, at all levels, to ensure strategy deployment is prioritized and aligned to GPS and PSM goalsEmpowering, coaching and guiding individuals in order for them to fulfill their roles and deliver effective, sustainable change.Why GSK?Uniting science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.GSK is a global biopharma company with a special purpose – to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together – so we can positively impact the health of billions of people and deliver stronger, more sustainable shareholder returns – as an organisation where people can thrive.
