Not-for-Profit: Salary package up to $15,900 per annum each FBT year plus further meals and entertainment benefits up to $2,649 per annum
Location: Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane Metro areasgenU Training is a division of genU that delivers valuable, non-vocational short course. We are seeking a trainer for Project PROSPERThis program is designed to empower job seekers with essential knowledge and tools to successfully enter or re-enter the workforce. Delivered over three days by an allied health professional, it covers;

  • Workplace injury prevention and physical health.
  • Strategies to reduce and prevent injuries, including role-played scenarios.
  • Importance of a healthy lifestyle, goal setting, motivation, and resilience

About the Role
As a Trainer, your key responsibility is to deliver engaging, practical sessions using the Project PROSPER framework over a three-day group program. You’ll work closely with participants to foster a safe, inclusive learning environment and provide informal coaching that empowers them to set goals and build strategies for long-term success.Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering interactive group training using real-life examples and practical activities
  • Tailoring content to suit different learning styles and support needs
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment
  • Supporting participants to set personal goals and build wellbeing strategies
  • Teaching key concepts in health, injury prevention, resilience, and stress management

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, or a related field – or equivalent professional experience
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor), or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • A passion for empowering others through education and wellbeing
  • Strong communication skills and an inclusive, trauma-informed approach
  • Confidence delivering content in a group setting
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check

Experience working with disadvantaged or long-term unemployed cohorts will be highly regarded, along with a strong understanding of trauma-informed and culturally safe practices. A background in vocational rehabilitation or employment services will also be advantageous. This role may involve travel within the state and occasional interstate travel, depending on program needs.
