Job description: FunctionSales, Customer Service & OriginationJob DescriptionROLE DESCRIPTIONIn your role as Sr. Tech Sales Manager you will be responsible for the execution of sales and trade flows for the Hatchery/Nursery portfolio. This includes maintaining active sales while identifying growth opportunities and setting strategy to enhance the core business both within China. This role will work closely with customer services, supply chain, R&D, and other sales teams within ADM to support the overall development and execution of the sales strategy.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESReporting to the China AQUA GM based in Shanghai; the incumbent will be responsible for:
– Market development

  • Prospect, identify and establish contact with customers
  • Introduce new products and/or concepts to the Market together with the Product Managers and R&D
  • Deliver the agreed budget targets

– Performance and demonstration:

  • to conduct on pond trial, record result, demonstrate good performance to customer
  • understand region practice, combine with ADM product character, provide effective practice advice

– Customer Requirement Management:

  • Provide technical service to our Customers & Distributors
  • Provide adequate response to the needs of our distributors & customers
  • Collaborate with back office and internal services to enable order execution

-Market & Competitive research & analysis:

  • Explore & Map market’s potentials for our product portfolio in your area
  • Keep an update with the evolution of the market and our competitors (benchmarking with main competitors )
  • Analyze the changes and provide advice to sales and product management on potential impacts on our business to help strategy development

-Marketing & Communication

  • Attend Fairs, exhibitions
  • Provide input to the Product Manager on communication needs & opportunities
  • Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting:
  • Update the monthly sales forecast, weekly sales meeting
  • Report on sales results in your area on monthly basis
  • Provide input during the annual budgeting exercise.
  • Ensure opportunity pipeline input & updated timely in salesforce system
  • Collaboration in an international team of technical and commercial experts in aquaculture nutrition

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EXPERIENCEThe successful candidate will possess the following:

  • University degree in Aquaculture, preferably with a background in Aqua Nutrition.
  • 10+ years sales/trading/merchandising experience, preferably in Aquaculture Hatchery.
  • Has good problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills, with a results focused approach.
  • A self-starter with good communication skills and an excellent team player.
  • Strong ability to collaborate within a multi-cultural and cross-functional setting.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English, additional language(s) would be beneficial.
  • Willing to travel, timely in field service
