Job description: Our client is sourcing for an Indirect Tax AnalystAbout The Opportunity

• Prepare and review sales tax returns and property tax returns
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of various sales tax accounts on the general ledger
• Assist in researching and gathering information for various state/ provincial sales taxes.
• Gather information for sales tax and property tax audits by various taxation authorities
• Communicate and negotiate with CRA over tax payment issues
• Work with Finance, Sales and Marketing teams to identify use tax issues and taxability of various items
• Ability to handle large volumes of data. Maintain tax calendar, property tax calendar, and other informational resources
• Work with third party advisors, Audit Firms

About You

• Accounting Designation
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience with sales/use tax and property tax compliance
• Proficient knowledge of government regulation, tax deadlines, sales and use tax compliance, and property tax filings
• Experience researching tax laws and regulations using tax research engines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Experience with tax automation softwares
