You’ll be a seasoned professional with deep experience across enterprise applications and how they integrate in a modern IT environment. Our IT Services are evolving under new leadership, with a focus on modernizing applications and integration to support the university’s strategic goals.Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this roleThe Senior Systems Engineer (Applications & Integration) provides technical subject matter expertise in their domain. Your role will involve working on application development, configuration, integration, and support, with a focus on low code development platforms like PowerApps and API-based integrations. You will contribute to the technology development, standards and guidelines for your domain and help inform others and ensure a joined-up approach to all aspects of the services.The salary band for this position is $80,984 – $113,808 based on skills and experience.Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

  • Application development, configuration, integration, and support
  • Ensure applications are supportable and meet service availability
  • Ensure security and privacy of information and information flows
  • Enable improved user experiences through effective sourcing, implementation, and automation
  • Provide expert advice
  • Drive change through technical and strategic alignment
  • Assist in influencing attitudes, decisions and actions
  • Collaborate to meet strategies, plans and targets

Ko koe tēnei | Who You Are

  • Tertiary qualification in IT or business management, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in IT, particularly in applications and integration
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a senior engineer or senior developer position
  • Proven ability to contribute effectively to projects and stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Knowledge of strategic IT issues, especially in educational or government contexts
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills

Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Expert (role one):

  • Strong expertise in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform
  • Extensive experience with Power Automate for workflow automation and integration
  • Good experience in rapid application development, preferably PowerApps or other low code no code platforms
  • Proficiency in C# (preferred)

Integration Expert with SSIS skills (role two):

  • Solid experience in API-based integration and integration platforms
  • Strong experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Good understanding of integration and data management principles
