We use the latest technology to deliver best-in-class experiences to our customers.Job DescriptionSenior System EngineerWhat the role is all about:As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role insupporting, enhancing, and managing our cloud-based software solutions. You’ll join an agile team, leveraging your expertise in SaaS platforms, Cloud computing and networking, operational best practices, troubleshooting, and incident management. In our collaborative and innovative environment, you’ll implement sustainable solutions that support our diverse lines of business. You will use your skills and experience to foster a collaborative and innovative engineering culture.While no two days are likely to be the same, your typical responsibilities will include:

• Drive continuous improvement across our systems, enhancing team culture and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Identify common problems within ETech, working with the ETech Leadership team to design and prioritise simple solutions.?
• Lead and drive outcomes for the systems lifecycle management plan.
• Embrace a solution-oriented mindset to tackle and resolve complex issues related to SaaS products.
• SaaS Application Support and Maintenance: Administer and integrate various SaaS applications, such as Microsoft 365, Okta, Zoom, PagerDuty, Workday, and Slack, to enhance corporate functionality.
• Corporate Networking Management: Oversee Arista WiFi, Campus, and Data Center switching and routing to ensure seamless connectivity and performance.
• Zero Trust Policy Implementation: Setup and manage Zscaler to establish a secure zero trust policy for offshore access.
• Firewall and IT Policy Management: Ensure corporate firewall systems, like Palo Alto, are properly maintained and aligned with organizational IT policies.
• Support and Guidance: Provide expert support and guidance to teams and end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilise the technology resources. Diagnose and resolve network and application issues promptly to minimise downtime and service disruptions.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Enhance system documentation and create informative help centre articles to support user knowledge and system efficiency.
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices in cloud computing and networking and SaaS to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Participate in on-call rotations for supporting critical services outside regular business hours.
• Operate on a rotational shift schedule to ensure seamless support and alignment with Australian business hours.

Who we are looking for:

• Share knowledge and foster collaboration within the team, nurturing a culture of continuous learning and curiosity.
• Demonstrate basic scripting and automation skills using tools such as Python and PowerShell to optimise workflows and administrative tasks.
• Experience in leading projects and people while being able to work autonomously when required.
• Extensive experience in supporting, developing, and maintaining SaaS applications, utilising best practices and modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in administering and integrating a variety of SaaS-based systems such as Microsoft 365, Okta, Zoom, LogicMonitor, PagerDuty, Workday, Git, and Slack in a corporate environment.
• Advanced skills in scripting and automation, using languages and tools such as Python and PowerShell to streamline deployment and operational processes.
• Ability to implement and manage secure networking solutions, including both traditional VPNs and modern Zero Trust solutions such as Zscaler.
• Extensive experience in corporate networking (switching and routing).
• Experience with cloud networking concepts, including virtual networks, subnets, routing, load balancing, and firewall configurations.
• Experience with configuration management, infrastructure automation, and tooling.
• A security-focused mindset and experience with security frameworks and technologies relevant to cloud and SaaS applications.
• Ability to work productively in a fast-paced and agile environment

Bonus points for:

• Demonstrated expertise in working within a startup environment, adapting to rapid changes and driving innovation.
• Experience in supporting technology integration during mergers and acquisitions.
• Experienced in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on both Azure and AWS, including familiarity with cloud services and tools.
• Experienced in securely deploying systems (Windows/Linux) to cloud infrastructure from CI/CD pipelines.
