Job description: Senior Solution Architect with baseline security clearance/ability to obtainWe are seeking experienced and motivated Solution Architects to support the delivery of various ICT projects across the division, including artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. This role involves working within a federal government department that primarily utilizes Microsoft Azure, M365, Dynamics 365, and DevOps platforms. The ideal candidate will bring technical leadership experience, deep expertise in Azure cloud solutions, and a strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.Work Location is Canberra or any major city in AustraliaAs a Solution Architect, you will:

• Provide technical leadership on complex ICT projects, preferably within a federal government environment.
• Develop high-level and detailed design solutions for migrating in-house systems to Azure cloud, including Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange, and virtual desktop infrastructure.
• Lead the design and migration of Azure DevOps pipelines and platforms.
• Configure Azure Virtual Networks, including hybrid network architecture integration.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks, including ISM, OWASP, and Essential 8 controls.
• Translate business requirements into robust Azure cloud solutions, with a focus on Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, cybersecurity teams, and cloud operations teams to secure design approvals.
• Work independently and build strong relationships with business users, development teams, Azure platform experts, and security experts.
• Communicate effectively using concise language, technical diagrams, and detailed solution documentation.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in a federal government department.
• Technical leadership experience in complex projects, preferably cloud migration projects.
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, including DevOps, CI/CD, integration solutions, and API architecture.
• Experience designing and migrating solutions from one organisation to another, including planning and execution.
• Expertise in geospatial and large-scale data processing within an Azure environment.
• Strong ability to work independently with limited guidance in an Agile environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Australian Citizen with Baseline clearance or the ability to obtain one.
