Join a global business that’s still got a start-up heart.About our Search Clients TeamYou will join the Search Clients team, a full stack team that is responsible for everything search-related in mobile apps and in web and responsive pages. Your specialization will be the search page/screen where customers search for flights using a wide range of sophisticated filters and specialised sortings. Search, together with the home page, is a critical domain within Kiwi.com as it is basically the first step the customers get into. Your work will directly impact the travel experience of 200k+ unique visitors and millions of EUR in revenue daily. \nWhat you will do

• You’ll play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our search product, one of our unique selling points and the cornerstone of our growth.
• You’ll help us maintain the architecture, improve performance and competitiveness of our search results, and prepare the ecosystem for the future growth.
• You will work on designing sophisticated and problem-solving solutions.
• You will be a part of an impactful team whose responsibility is taking care of the search flow, from the search engine to users.
• Participation in cross-platform and cross-team collaboration and discoveries.
• Code reviews, keeping the codebase in good shape and taking care of tech debt will be your daily bread.
• As an experienced engineer you will have plenty of opportunities to mentor more junior colleagues and share your knowledge, and enrich our community with your expertise.

What you will need

• You have a deep understanding of backend technologies, with a focus on Python (Go knowledge is a plus!). Our tech stack is enriched with tools like aiohttp, extensive use of asyncio features, celery, k8s & docker, gRPC and REST for service communication, and GraphQL for engaging our front-end clients.
• You are skilled in working with relational databases (our choice is PostgreSQL), Redis, and BigQuery.
• Your familiarity with cloud technologies will be highly valued. We utilize Google Cloud services, including Google-hosted k8s clusters, pubsub, etc.
• You are knowledgeable in designing, maintaining, and scaling the architecture of large backend applications/microservices ensuring high availability, minimal latency, and continuous uptime.
• Your experience with Datadog and Grafana, which are essential for our monitoring and logging processes.
• You bring excellent communication skills and fluency in English, for clear explanation and documentation of technical details.
