Why is this role important?The Senior Business Intelligence Developer develops, operates, maintains, enhances, quality assures and the end-user support of system solutions for Business Intelligence capabilities built in Qlik.What you’ll do1. Design, develops, tests and deploys the code and implementation of Qlik based visualizations, dashboards and reports.2. Operates, maintains, enhances BI products built in Qlik.3. Handles and coordinates tasks related to BI tool upgrades.4. Apply the best practices for visualizations, the design must follow CIHI standards/UX guidelines/wireframes and be AODA (WCAG 2.0) compliant and bilingual (Eng/FR).5. Executes the operational tasks related to incident troubleshooting and correction and scheduled product releases and work on optimizing and automating these tasks to reduce operational effort, on a rotation basis.6. Provides input as a member of the project team during the requirements identification and feasibility analysis for new solutions or application modifications.7. Analyses and develops solutions to resolve software design and program deficiencies/problems for maintenance of existing systems or development of new ones.8. Performs the requisite unit, module, integration and performance testing. Identify, triage and resolve defects.9. Provides end-user support as needed for products in your assigned portfolio.What you’ll bring to the table

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Three plus (3+) years experience in BI development.

• Three plus (3+) years experience in Qlik Sense development, data modeling and dashboards/visualizations, reporting techniques, extensions.

• Have hands-on experience with Data transformation, creation of QVD files and set analysis.

• Experience in application design, architecture, development and deployment using Qlik Sense.

• Expertise with Qlik architectural designs.

• Experience with AWS cloud stack is nice to have.

• Drupal knowledge is a plus.

• Experience with Qlik Management Console, including Management, Security rules and Maintenance of tasks, Extensions, Streams and Apps.

• Experience with handling performance issues with Qlik applications (Performance tuning).

• Experience in utilizing Qlik API’s for integration with web pages thru true mashups.

• Ability to plan and coordinate workload effectively, including manage and prioritize multiple tasks in parallel.

• Strong team player with a client/user orientation.

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

• Suitable candidates demonstrate creative thinking, eagerness for learning, strong leadership potential, and innovative and collaborative qualities.

• Required knowledge and/or experience in Oracle DB, PL/SQL.
