Job description: Sr Software DeveloperJob DescriptionAs a Senior Software Developer in the R&D team, you will work on networked machine vision systems and integrate third-party software. You will develop software applications and SDKs for the latest video and imaging technologies, including GPUs and FPGAs. Your responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing new features for our next-generation platforms, covering both front-end and back-end aspects. You should have solid experience in developing high-quality software applications and SDKs for industrial environments.Responsibilities

• Develop software applications for video switching, machine learning, industrial inspection, and automation.
• Develop SDK libraries (Windows, Linux) for PCs and embedded platforms (ARM) for video image processing and high-speed networks (1G, 5G, 10G+).
• Develop and integrate cross-platform APIs/SDKs that provide services for networked video and image processing and sensors.
• Work with the UXD team to design front-end GUI interfaces that connect to our devices.
• Contribute to specifications, system architecture definition, design reviews, and documentation to deliver best-in-class video devices and applications.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in C++ development.
• Experience with C++ version 17.
• Experience working in the user space (above the low-level hardware, FPGA, Microcontrollers).
• Client-server application experience.
• Windows and/or Linux experience.
• Knowledge of Ethernet and TCP/IP networking.
• Experience with GIT and JIRA.
• Understanding of RoCE V2.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Networking background that understands how messaging works for Ethernet or TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of FPGA.
• Understanding of video technologies.

Work EnvironmentThis position is remote, available to residents of Ontario and Quebec only. There are offices in Ottawa (main) and Quebec City, and you might need to come into the office once or twice a month. You will be working with a great team, alongside industry experts, on the latest generation of machine video transport protocols.
